Why does my 1996 audi a6 make a clicking noise when i make turn?

it sounds like its coming from the drivers side wheel. Why does my 1996 audi a6 make a clicking noise when i make turn?CV joint for sure. Stay away from a dealer. They will overcharge for this replacement. You can get just the joint and have just the outer joint replaced or you could go for the whole axle. Aftermarket axles are probably going to be cheaper to install than just the joint. Expect to pay a couple hundred bucks. Why does my 1996 audi a6 make a clicking noise when i make turn?No doubt you need your CV joints replaced. Don't just replace the one making the noise, but both of them.

All front wheel drive cars have CV Joints. If you look under the front end of your car near the wheel, you will see a rubber boot that covers the joint. These boots get a lot of wear and tear from the elements and dry out and crack. Once they wear, you will get sand, dirt, etc., etc., in those joints.

Anyone with front wheel drive should keep an eye on these rubber boots, because when they wear out and allow "crap" to get inside, be prepared to have your CV Joints replaced. Why does my 1996 audi a6 make a clicking noise when i make turn?Needs c/v joint replaced
