Improving gas mileage on an audi s4?

I just bought a 2005 audi s4 v8 because it to good of a deal to pass up on and its in mint condition. My question is other than driving like im 90 yrs old and routine check ups how can i improve my gas mileage on my car. It gets aroung 16miles city and 21 highway. Any answers would be appreciated.Improving gas mileage on an audi s4?Trade it in for the 4cylinder. 16 and 21 mpg is at the top end of great for the 4.2l.Improving gas mileage on an audi s4?I feel your pain. It is a hard choice to make for performance. Calculate the gas costs from the S4 V8 %26amp; the A4 2.0T. It's about $900/yr. http://www.fueleconomy.gov/Feg/bymodel/2009_Audi_SRS.shtml

Improving gas mileage on an audi s4?Nothing you can do.

Even if you get a better intake, exhaust, etc, to help with some of the factory restrictions, at best...you're only going to see around 18city, and 23 or so highway. And that's after spending several thousand dollars, on quality items.

To see the benefits of this, you'd have to drive around 100,000 miles, to pay off the parts you just purchased for the car.

Keeping your tires at the right pressure, and other things are nice, but that will only keep you around your factory rated mpg.

Ultimately, if you want better gas mileage, the car wasn't the "too good of a deal to pass up" like you thought it was.Improving gas mileage on an audi s4?
Nothing else but replace air filter every 6,000 miles or make sure tire pressure is correct.
