Where is the Oxygen Sensor located on the 1996 a4 audi?
I have a V6 engine for my 1996 audi....the heated oxygen sensor shown up on the diagnostic scan...where is located%26gt;%26gt;%26gt; it says Bank 2 Sensor 1....Where is the Oxygen Sensor located on the 1996 a4 audi?Bank 2 is if you are facing the car- it is on the right- passenger's side, sensor 1 is the upstream O2 sensor, the one closest to the exhaust manifold. However, based on my experience, I would have all 4 replaced, because when one goes, the other three soon follow.Where is the Oxygen Sensor located on the 1996 a4 audi?FORGET about this just now. What is REALLY happening here is that you have a fuel mixture imbalance that is triggering the O2 sensor problem. My best guess is that you are using the WRONG oil in this car, and maybe the wrong fuel, too. AUDI's require the use of ONLY oils that meet specification 502/505. This means Mobil One, ELF, and Pennzoil Platinum Ultra. Your O2 sensor will clear itself up IF you have your throttle body, IDLE AIR CONTROL VALVE and Pcv hoses cleaned to showroom condition. I recommend the use of AMSOIL foaming cleaner to do this. THE WRONG oil will have cause your PCV hoses to rapidly collapse, and cause fuel mixture trouble. Once you have done the right things, GUM-OUT spray run through the intake system will restore the use of the O2 sensor you are referring to. IN OTHER WORDS, you must correcdt the SOURCE of the problem. SEE????? There are at least 4 O2 sensors on your engine. They are trying to protect your expensive catalytic converters from damage. READ aobut "top tier" fuels on the internet. GOOD LUCK!!
