In fact, it isn't very often that you'll find anyone under 40 driving this type of car. If you want to paint it, remember it is an aluminum car, and not just any body shop is qualified to even work on it. Audi has a network of body shops that are certified to do repairs on the A8, and I'd stick with those. It will be expensive, though. A good color would be green. Most after market mods are going to have to be custom made. If you wanted a car to trick out it would have been best to buy a Mitsubishi eclipse or some model of Honda. But Audi's are awesome cars so I can't fault you for getting one. Just add some cool rims and maybe put ground effect lights on and upgrade your sound system...if you don't already have the Bose system.How should i trick out my 1998 Audi A8?
yo man i dont know if your a8 is a 4.2 or some other engine but you can supercharge it by PES Tuning. Dont get a ground effects kit or sound due to audi having a good sound system as it is. The a8 is luxury enough, this supercharge system will get you to around 450 hp and should run you about 5 gs. From saying u want to do paint, house of kolor paints are very reputable and expensive but its an A8 why cheap it? Good luck.How should i trick out my 1998 Audi A8?Clean it up. Seriously though, the A8 is not a car you "trick out". 98 or brand new it's Audi's upper echelon luxury car, with exeption to the R8 ofcourse. At 18 you need a tuner car, trade it in for a 00-01 audi S4 or 98-04 1.8T A4
Leave it the same color, get some NICE wheels, maybe lower it. A good aftermarket exhaust will bring out the sound of the V8 and improve performance some. I have seen aftermarket front bumpers that will make your D2 look like a newer D3 A8 with the larger grill, looks pretty good. Please dont "trick it out" or "soup it up".
