Do i need a new deck to hook up subs in my Audi A4 1.8t with the Audi Symphony audio system?

I am wanting to hook 2 12'' kickers with a sony xplode 1200 watt amp to my stock deck. Is this possible and how do i do that?

No it is not impossible IF you can get an adapter for your stock head unit. You can buy the adapter for it at any audio shop and possibly your local wal-mart. What kind of kickers do you have?Do i need a new deck to hook up subs in my Audi A4 1.8t with the Audi Symphony audio system?Absolutely possible. Ive got 2 rockford HE 12's w/ JL monoblock amp hooked to my stock head unit. You are looking for a "low-level line converter." It works by taking high level imputs (daisy-chaining off your rear speakers wires) and converts it to low level RCA outputs to go to your amp. I think it has to be powered, also. I think you can even get one with a crossover so it just sends the low end frequencies to your amp. Mine sounds awesome. Ive heard people talk smack about using these, but the fact is mine sounds great, I used it because installing a new deck meant losing my steering wheel audio controls, plus the stock infinity deck sounds great. People agree it sounds great, a friend of mine also used one in his car, his sounds even better than mine. The part is also very inexpensive. Heres an example of one, doesnt look like it has to be powered. Try to find a better one to use, though. Right-on!
