1999 Audi A4 Do i HAVE to replace the timing belt, tensioner, etc if I just want to replace my water pump?

I have a bad water pump. I've replaced the timing and serpentine belts about 20,000 miles ago, so they are not due fro replacement.

If it helps, I have a v6 2.8L Quattro early half of the VIN split.1999 Audi A4 Do i HAVE to replace the timing belt, tensioner, etc if I just want to replace my water pump?no you don't have to but it is a good idea to do the timing and its idlers if any since they are right behind the water pump and it doesn't add much additional time to do it. just so its longer before you have to have it torn down again is the reason this is recommended.
