Whats the downside to having an audi tt?

im thinking about getting a 2000 or 2001 audi tt(hatchback), i want to know if their are any downsides to having one? I already know the back seat is pointless.Whats the downside to having an audi tt?It annoys me that people state "Its a girls car" what a load of rubbish ! A girls car, take a look at the number of women driving 4 x 4 's or People carriers IF you are offended by the fact that some women may drive certain cars. Come to Halifax in West Yorks and see how many women bus drivers we have I wouldn't say a 36 foot Volvo was a girls car !! Back to your question, the downside to ownership is that residual values are still high, you may have an example that has been "thrashed" in all probability by a "man". If you can afford slightly newer or find one with sensible miles all the better. Try to preserve its service history, if there is no documented service history, keep well away unless the price is too good to resist. If you do not know anything about cars take someone with you who does, or pay for an AA/RAC inspection, it will be well worthwhile. It depends upon the mileage of the car you are buying and ,like all second hand cars, how it has been looked after. I had an 05 TT 162 convertible which I really enjoyed but decided to buy a new style coupe two years ago. I can assure you that neither cars caused me any problem at all but the newer model is a better car to drive and is slightly larger. I would suggest that you be careful for repairs can be costly.Whats the downside to having an audi tt?I love TT's but, it seems as though the MK1 has been given a repuatation as a girls car.. not good!!
