Is it reliable? Are they notorious for any major mechanical defects? Overall, is it a decent to consider buying? Is a 2001 Audi TT Quattro a good to buy?i am totally biased, but let's get a few things straight. it is NOT a golf whatsoever. sure, 1.8T engines power both the golf and the TT. However the TT comes with a much better KO4 turbocharger, compared to the Golf's KO3 turbo. The TT also has a lower drag coefficient. (more aerodynamic) The TT is also very easy to mod, and there are many OEM and aftermarket parts available. There were some defects in the early models, but most of those have been sorted out. If your TT was maintained properly, you should be fine. Also, wanted to throw in... Golfs aren't AWD, the TT is. If you couldn't tell, I love TT's, and you should totally get one. It's a damn classic. Is a 2001 Audi TT Quattro a good to buy?It is a good buy if you don't mind spending about 1500 dollars a year on repairs.
Audi cars are great for the first owner, but after that things do not go that well. At about four years old the repairs start coming in and get worse the older it gets.Is a 2001 Audi TT Quattro a good to buy?yes its a reliable decent car, its also 10 years old and you will have to repair something at that age.
