The car won't start and is in my driveway with no way for the truck to get to the front of the car. I can try to push it out, but if I don't have to I don't want to try. Does anyone from the tow truck industry know if they can back the car onto the flatbed?I own an Audi A4 Quattro and it requires a flat bed tow. Is it possible to load to the truck from the rear?i am a flatbed driver. You can load the car onto a flatbed from either end. The difference between towing from the front or rear on a conventional tow truck is that the drive wheels need to be off the ground (with some exceptions for distance and speed ). when the car is in neutral you can roll it which ever way you want. When the driver gets there to tow it they may want to push it out because it may be easier to load on the street instead of blocking the whole street to back up to your driveway. That's up to them.
also a little not just cuz I deal with it a lot. Audi recommends that you tow the car on a flatbed but it doesn't really REQUIRE a flatbed. The placement of the oil pan on audis and a few other factors make damage more likely if you tow it on a wheel lift truck but if the driver knows what they are doing it should be fine. I've towed audis with a wheel lift truck using dollies to raise all the drive wheels off the ground and did no damage. Sometimes a wheel lift is the better choice for towing like if your audi is stuck in park because you whould have to drag it onto a flatbed and let gravity take it off.
good luckI own an Audi A4 Quattro and it requires a flat bed tow. Is it possible to load to the truck from the rear? Why wouldn't they be able to pull it up from the rear? Have you called them out to look at it yet? I think you're worried over nothing.I own an Audi A4 Quattro and it requires a flat bed tow. Is it possible to load to the truck from the rear? The problem is that you own an Audi A4. Should've bought American.I own an Audi A4 Quattro and it requires a flat bed tow.
