I am about to buy a 04 Audi A4 Quatro. How long do these cars run for?

It has a turbo charged engine, when does that start to run out also with the quatro does that apply some maintenance issues as-well. This car has 104,000 Miles on it being uses. I've always driven volkswagens so the car handles very similar.I am about to buy a 04 Audi A4 Quatro. How long do these cars run for?The engine, transmission and drivetrain (quattro) will last until well over 200K with proper maintenance, but you don't know how the maintenance has been for the last 100K. If you do buy the car, prepare to have it serviced at a VW or Audi dealership for quite a bit of money. You'll need ALL fluids changed, engine oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, coolant, power steering fluid and differential fluids. Have them go through the car while they're there, but the fluid changes themselves will be close to $1,000. These aren't cheap cars to own as the trans fluid should be done every 30K, the diff fluids every 50K, the brake fluid at every rotor replacement, coolant every 60-100K, and power steering every 50K. The other problem is that VW/Audi is notorious for electrical systems starting to fail right around this mileage and Audi's have a lot of electricals. This will run up some serious repair bills. You will be paying somewhere between $2-5K a year for regular maintenance on this car to keep it mint, so just be aware of that. My A4 2.8 5 speed quattro ran to 240K, and was mint, with all service records. I sold the car for $4K with an extra set of rims (one with summer tires and one with snow tires) and still see it almost every day.I am about to buy a 04 Audi A4 Quatro. How long do these cars run for?if it hasn't already had a new turbo, cam belt, idlers, tensioner and water pump do not buy it as these will cost you $20-25 hundred, if it hasn't had a new turbo the cat will also need replacing with the turbo, the turbos generally blow between 80000 and 100000 miles unless fully synthetic oils has been used 100% of the time, excellent cars but less and less do it yourself, even the transmission fluid level can only be checked by a dealer now
