The turn signals used to come on then stop. Now they dont come on at all. My best guess is it's a bad turn signal relay, but if it's something else I dont know what it would be. Where is the relay located in the car? and can I just replace it?How do you replace the turn signal relay on a 1999 audi a4 quattro? You might hate me for telling you this, but the relay is up under the dash. It is a 5 hour project because the whole dash has to be taked off and the part is around $500 depending where you get it from. This happened to my gf in her 2004 a6 2.7t and the labor was the killer on the bill. keep in mind that it might be different do to different models (a6 vs a4) You might be one of the few and far that gets lucky and just have to replace the fuse. her mechanic said it is mainlyh due to running your turn signals at stop lights and turning them on early for a turn.. ect. Hope this helps.
She loves her audi, its her first one and i usually drive when we go places and talk about a fun car, it takes corners like you are riding on rails! and notto mention the quattro in the snow with the esp off...... :) :)
