I hav a 2007 audi a4 2.0T and Im looking at buying a new lexus is 250 awd. All things considered... including of course the reliability factor, which is big between these two. The Lexus is going to be very reliable, you'll almost never see the shop except for maintenance. With the Audi, you're still going to see the shop once in a while for little PITB things like electricals.



Other than that, I would say if you can live with the little gremlins that pop up with the Audi, then stay with the Audi. The IS250AWD is just such an underperformer and with the soft handling, you're not going to enjoy it coming from an Audi.

Given that Audis are near enough as dependable and that quality is very much on the up for them, it would be my choice. Well, the lexus has (rear) 30inches, and the a4 has 34.5, so, if you've got teenage kids, don't think about the lexus at all.

The cars are very comparable when they're both AWD, the audi is only bigger. I like the drive, styling, mileage, of both cars, the Audi is a bit more expensive, and it is a bit bigger. The audi does well in snow, so does the lexus. My neighbour has an is250 and an es350, i have an Audi Q5 and a 2009 audi a4, so I know what these cars are like, overall, i like the audi more, only because of it's interior. I found there not to be enough choices with the lexus.
