Any ideas on how to fix the door locks on a 1999 Audi A6. Any similar experiences???

I have a 1999 audi a6 2.8 quattro with about 117k miles. The rear right door opens from the outside but does not open when tried from the inside. How can i fix this problem? Is it one i can fix myself?Any ideas on how to fix the door locks on a 1999 Audi A6. Any similar experiences???Is the child protect switch on? Its underneath the lock mechanism on the door.
