How do you tell apart a 4 and 6 cylinder Audi tt?

I read that one has a single exhaust...Does that mean an exhaust on both sides of rear bumper? How do you tell apart a 4 and 6 cylinder Audi tt?Look at the engine, if there are two extra cylinders then it's a 6. If not it's a 4.
